I had a great weekend on the beach with Matteo and Steveo among others. We drove down 3 hours to Kyushu’s surfing mecca in Miyazaki-ken to camp-out and enjoy the warm weather.
The trip was complete with yakiniku, Steveo’s pug Boss, and decent waves. It was my first time surfing, but I learned a lot and will definitely go back for more. Surfing is one thing I didn’t think I would be doing in Japan.

Bring your own tent, but you can rent surf boards and lessons (at high prices).
