Everybody panic!!! Oita has had a rash of earthquakes in the last 48 hours. I counted about 8 larger ones and a few more minor ones. A couple even splashed water out of my goldfish tank, surely traumatizing them. Plus it messed up the trains and I had to walk home from work (1.5 hrs), but I saw some nice farm land.
To be expected as Japan lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Kyushu (where I live) is home to Japan’s most active volcanoe, Mt. Aso, and Beppu is the onsen (hot springs) capital of Japan.
Makes you wonder if the big one is coming….
